AI×Engineering×Humanities Workshop (7/4)

On Friday, July 4, the first meeting of the DHSS co-hosted event “AI x Engineering x Humanities Study Group” was held in the center’s conference room.

This workshop aims to build a new platform for researchers in the Tokai area who cross AI, engineering, and humanities fields to gather, share their latest research results and awareness of issues, and generate new collaborative research through discussions.

PD Researcher Masashi Takeshita of Nagoya University’s Graduate School of Informatics gave a presentation on “Should We Follow Animal Advocacy Advice for Large-Scale Language Models?” and led a lively discussion with researchers from various fields including philosophy, literature, archaeology, technology ethics, and STS.

Thank you very much for your participation.
